Hello,
My name is Rex.
First, let me introduce myself
I am an IT professional, video gamer, spirituality enthusiast, psychedelic assisted guide, and a newbie mycologist.
I have many interests. My primary interest is technology. I have had a computer in front of my face since I was 8 years old, Tandy HX 1000. Since then, I was hooked by computers and technology. I quickly got into gaming, which has been a huge inspiration in my life. I built my first PC when I was in high school at 15 years of age. This PC was mostly for school work, but also for my gaming interests. High schools, at this time, did not have enough technology related courses to challenge me. Instead of attending my senior year, I tested out of school and went to Practical Schools technical institute to begin my tech journey.
Fast forward to now, I have a Master’s degree in Information Technology Management and over 15 years of experience working with different facets of technology. I have worked for individual people, small organizations with 2-3 employees, medium sized startups, non-profit organizations, and a billion dollar enterprise.
I consider myself to be a generalist in technology. I learned in College that understanding a moderate amount of as many technical topics as possible was better for me, rather than specializing in something big. This has helped me considerably over the years. My super power is being able to learn most tech in a very short amount of time.
I am open to many different forms of thinking, and love hearing what other people have to say. I am a problem solver, introvert, and very intuitive.
Born and raised in California, but spent the majority of my life in Colorado. Currently I reside in Longmont.

So, what’s VirtuTech all about? We’re a specialized IT service provider (that’s MSP for “Managed Service Provider”) based right here in Boulder County, Colorado! With my 15+ years of IT experience and a Master’s in Information Technology Management, I’m setting up VirtuTech to help out small and medium-sized businesses in the Natural Medicine, Holistic Health and Spiritual Wellness world. Think yoga studios, meditation spots, spiritual coaches, energy/sound healers, natural medicine communities, and amazing non-denominational spiritual groups.
Our secret sauce? We really get the unique needs, privacy concerns, and ethical vibes of this special market. We’re not just fixing computers; we’re building secure, reliable IT environments and offering ongoing support that matches their individual and unique missions. The goal is to build a fantastic reputation through amazing service, smart partnerships, and a genuine commitment to what our clients believe in. We’re all about steady growth, recurring revenue, and making enough profit to expand and maybe even bring on some great people down the road!
